Yemi Alade has unveiled the tracklist for her forthcoming album IT’S YEMI ALADE, revealing a 16-track project packed with collaborations and new material ahead of its September 11 release. The Nigerian Afropop star is set to be joined by Don Jazzy, Spyro, Bien, FAVE, JeriQ, Ferre Gola and Singuila, among others.

The tracklist gives fans a first proper look at the scale of the project, with previously released songs including “Yemi Mi Lova” featuring Spyro, “Ala Bekee” featuring Don Jazzy, “Don’t Be Shy” featuring Bien, “Worry” featuring FAVE, and “Shawa Shawa (Ashawo)” making the album.

Other songs listed for the September 11 release include “Coco na Yam” featuring Ferre Gola, “Overtake” featuring JeriQ, “Paradise” featuring Singuila, “Little Kiss (E Good),” “Minister of Enjoyment,” “Titanium,” “Alhaja,” “Owa,” and “General Market.”

A Star-Studded African Collaboration

One of the most notable aspects of the tracklist is its range of collaborations. Yemi Alade brings together artists from different parts of Africa, continuing the cross-border approach that has become an important part of her music.

Spyro appears on “Yemi Mi Lova,” while Don Jazzy joins Alade on “Ala Bekee.” Kenyan singer Bien features on “Don’t Be Shy,” while FAVE appears on “Worry.” JeriQ, Ferre Gola and Singuila also add their voices to different tracks on the project.

The project therefore looks set to move beyond a strictly Nigerian Afropop sound, drawing from different African musical backgrounds while keeping Alade at the centre.

The Album Arrives September 11

IT’S YEMI ALADE is scheduled for global release on September 11, 2026 through Effyzzie Music. Both Spotify and Apple Music list the project as a 16-song album.

The album follows Alade’s 2024 project Rebel Queen and marks another major chapter in a career that has seen her become one of Africa’s most recognizable female Afropop artists.

The self-titled project also arrives after a steady rollout of singles. Alade released “Don’t Be Shy” with Bien before following it with “Ala Bekee” alongside Don Jazzy. The latter arrived in August, with its official music video released earlier this month.

Yemi Alade Puts Herself at the Centre

The title IT’S YEMI ALADE makes the project’s intention clear: this is a project built around the singer’s identity, sound and evolution.

With a career spanning more than a decade, Alade has developed a catalogue that includes King of Queens, Mama Africa, Black Magic, Woman of Steel, Empress, African Baddie and Rebel Queen.

She has also maintained a strong international presence, including her appearance on Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift through “My Power.”

Now, with a new 16-track album and an impressive list of African collaborators, Yemi Alade is preparing to enter another era.
