French-Congolese artist Tiakola has released his highly anticipated new single “BEST,” featuring Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema.

The collaboration arrives today, Friday, September 25, 2026, as part of Tiakola’s new musical chapter and his upcoming sophomore album, WpointM.

“BEST” brings together two artists from different corners of Africa’s rapidly expanding global music scene. Tiakola’s melodic approach and French rap influences meet Rema’s Afrobeats-driven sound, creating a collaboration that further connects the French and Nigerian sides of contemporary African pop.

The song had already generated anticipation before its release after Tiakola appeared to tease the collaboration in the music video for his previous track “Upa Solide.”

“BEST” is one of the 17 tracks on WpointM, which arrives alongside the new single. The album explores Tiakola’s French identity, his personal experiences and his Congolese heritage, while moving across rap, Afrobeats and Congolese influences.

The project follows WpointM 93120, a six-track preface released on September 24 and named after the postal code associated with La Courneuve, where Tiakola grew up. The EP includes “Upa Solide” and a collaboration with Leto on “Winter Melo Music.”

For Rema, “BEST” adds another international collaboration to an already active 2026. The Nigerian star has released singles including “TEA” and “Oh No” this year, while also appearing on several international records.

The collaboration also highlights the increasingly fluid relationship between African music markets, with artists from Nigeria, France and the wider African diaspora continuing to work across languages and genres.

With WpointM now out, “BEST” gives listeners another glimpse into Tiakola’s evolving sound while bringing Rema into the project’s international dimension.
