Lady Gaga is stepping into a bigger business role, officially taking over as Chief Executive Officer of her beauty brand, Haus Labs, as she prepares to lead the companyโs next phase of growth.
The appointment, announced on October 29, sees the Grammy-winning singer and actress take on commercial leadership of the cosmetics company alongside her existing responsibilities for creative direction and product development.
Gaga succeeds co-founder Ben Jones, who reportedly departed the company earlier in October after serving as its CEO since its launch. The leadership change takes effect immediately.
Speaking about her new position, Gaga expressed excitement about becoming more actively involved in the companyโs operations and future direction.
โIโm excited to take on a more active role in the company and work alongside our incredible team to build on everything weโve accomplished together,โ she said, adding that she has a lot of vision for the brand and believes there is much more to achieve.
Originally launched in 2019 as Haus Laboratories, the beauty brand made history as the first beauty line to debut exclusively on Amazon. It was relaunched in 2022 as Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, with a refreshed identity, updated product formulations and an expanded retail presence through Sephora.
Since its relaunch, the brand has built a presence in the competitive beauty market, particularly with products such as its Triclone Skin Tech Foundation.
Gagaโs appointment also represents a notable shift in celebrity-owned beauty businesses, where founders often focus on creative direction while experienced executives manage commercial operations.
With her new position, Gaga will have a more direct role in shaping the companyโs business strategy, product development and long-term ambitions.
From music and acting to entrepreneurship, the move adds another dimension to Gagaโs career as she takes a more hands-on approach to building Haus Labs into a lasting beauty business.
