Global pop star Jackson Wang has signed a new management deal with Roc Nation, marking a fresh chapter in his international career. The announcement arrives alongside the release of his new single, “Thank You,” and its accompanying music video.
The partnership brings the Hong Kong-born artist into Roc Nation’s global management roster, with founder JAY-Z welcoming Wang to the company.
“We’re excited to have Jackson Wang join our family here at Roc Nation,” JAY-Z said, describing him as an artist with “a very special drive” and expressing excitement about what comes next.
“Thank You” serves as a personal message of gratitude to the fans who have supported Wang throughout his journey. The track was released on September 20, with the official video following as part of the new chapter surrounding his Roc Nation partnership.
Directed by Jackson Wang and Ojun Kwon, the video was filmed entirely in black and white using the iPhone 18 Pro. Rather than focusing solely on Wang’s present, the visual takes viewers through different stages of his life, including his childhood, early sporting career, time with GOT7, solo music career and his latest move with Roc Nation.
Fans are also an important part of the visual. Applications were received from supporters in more than 80 countries, with 30 fans ultimately selected to appear in the video. Their participation reinforces the song’s central message of appreciation and Wang’s long-standing connection with his global audience.
The release comes after a major period for Wang. His latest album, MAGIC MAN 2, debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and placed him in the Top 15 of the Billboard Artist 100. He has also continued his MAGIC MAN 2 World Tour, including sold-out performances at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
Before music became his full-time career, Wang was a competitive fencer and represented Hong Kong in international competition. He later debuted as a member of GOT7 in 2014 before building his solo career and establishing Team Wang.
Now, with Roc Nation behind his global management and “Thank You” introducing the next phase, Jackson Wang is positioning himself for another chapter that continues to connect his Asian roots with an increasingly international audience.
