Atlanta rapper Gunna has teased an October release for his upcoming studio album Splurge, his first full-length project since The Last Wun.

The rapper revealed the title during a recent interview with Forbes’ The Enterprise Zone, describing Splurge as a project that will introduce fans to a new level of his artistry.

Gunna explained that he wants the album to reflect the creative growth he has been working toward, describing Splurge as representing an “upper-echelon artist” who has moved into another level.

While October is being considered for the release, Gunna has not announced an official date. The rapper said he is still making final decisions about the project and does not want to rush it simply to meet a deadline.

“If I feel ready, it could come out next month,” Gunna said. “But if I’m not ready, I’m not ready yet. I don’t have a date.”

Splurge will arrive less than a year after The Last Wun, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Gunna has remained active with guest appearances this year, including collaborations with Shaboozey and Rich The Kid.

The upcoming album also comes as Gunna navigates the next stage of his career following his relationship with YSL Records. When asked about his current label situation, he said he would not describe himself as completely free, adding that discussions are ongoing about who will support and work with him on his next chapter.

For now, fans have the album title and a potential October window, but Gunna has made it clear that the final release date will depend on when he feels the project is ready.

Splurge is expected to arrive in October, although an official release date has yet to be announced.
