Adekunle Gold has reached another major streaming milestone as his fifth studio album, Tequila Ever After, officially surpasses 200 million streams on Spotify.

Released in July 2023, the 18-track project has become the first album in Adekunle Gold’s catalogue to cross 200 million streams on Spotify, further highlighting the Nigerian star’s continued growth and strong streaming presence.

Tequila Ever After marked an important chapter in Gold’s career as his first album released through Def Jam Recordings. The project showcased his evolving approach to Afropop while incorporating elements of Afrobeats, R&B and international pop.

The album features a number of high-profile collaborations, including Zinoleesky, ODUMODUBLVCK, Coco Jones, Simi, Khalid, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers. Its 18-song tracklist includes fan favourites such as “Party No Dey Stop,” “Ogaranya,” “Wrong Person,” “Make It Easy,” “Look What You Made Me Do,” “Come Back to Me” and “Falling Up.”

One of the project’s biggest streaming drivers has been “Party No Dey Stop,” Adekunle Gold’s collaboration with Zinoleesky. The song has itself surpassed 100 million Spotify streams and remains Gold’s most-streamed track on the platform.

The album’s latest achievement also comes during a strong period for Adekunle Gold on Spotify. The singer recently crossed four million monthly listeners, further reflecting his growing global audience.

The 200 million milestone places Tequila Ever After among the growing number of Afrobeats projects reaching significant streaming figures on Spotify. For Gold, it represents another indication of the longevity of his catalogue and the international reach of his music.

With Tequila Ever After now past 200 million Spotify streams, Adekunle Gold continues to strengthen his position as one of Nigeria’s most consistent Afropop and Afrobeats artists.
