Nigerian music legend 2Baba is preparing to return to the album scene with his first full-length project in six years, announcing an upcoming album titled ‘Oldest Young Man’, scheduled for release on November 27, 2026.
The singer, whose real name is Innocent Ujah Idibia, shared the announcement on social media with the message: “The legacy continues. OLDEST YOUNG MAN drops 27.11.26. Timeless music, no expiration date.”
The forthcoming project marks his first studio album since Warriors, which arrived in February 2020. The 13-track album featured collaborations with Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Olamide and Peruzzi, among others.
2Baba had previously teased the new project in August, describing it as a reflection of his experiences and continued journey in the music industry.
“I’ve lived it. I’ve seen it. I’m still here,” he wrote at the time.
The veteran singer also gave fans an early preview of the album during a listening party held in Lagos on September 19, as part of activities marking his 51st birthday. The gathering attracted family members, friends and several entertainment industry personalities, including Faze, Wande Coal, Tony Tetuila and Spyro.
Although he has not released a full-length album in six years, 2Baba has remained active with singles and collaborations. His recent releases include “Mental,” featuring Fave, which arrived in September 2026, and “Kuku Google Am.”
With a career spanning more than two decades, from his days with Plantashun Boiz to establishing himself as one of Afropop’s most influential solo acts, Oldest Young Man represents another chapter in the singer’s musical journey.
