The transactions will reportedly be funded mostly in cash, with a portion in stock subject to vesting conditions. CrowdStrike has not publicly disclosed the individual purchase prices.

Fiddler AI specialises in AI observability, providing tools that allow businesses to monitor how AI systems behave, understand their decisions and track their interactions with other tools and agents. Its technology is expected to become part of CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform under a product called Falcon Observe.

Dreadnode, on the other hand, focuses on automated AI security testing. Its technology can test AI models, applications and agents for vulnerabilities before they are deployed. This includes identifying weaknesses such as prompt injection attacks and attempts to bypass an AI system’s safety restrictions.

The move comes as businesses increasingly rely on AI agents to perform tasks, access company systems and automate complex workflows. However, these capabilities also introduce security risks, particularly when agents are given excessive access or operate without adequate monitoring.

Alongside the acquisitions, CrowdStrike has introduced an AI Kill Switch within its Falcon Guardian product. The feature gives security teams the ability to terminate AI agents that behave outside their intended boundaries, prevent them from restarting and cut off their access to enterprise networks.

By bringing Fiddler AI and Dreadnode into its ecosystem, CrowdStrike aims to provide businesses with a more comprehensive approach to AI security, covering vulnerability testing before deployment and behavioural monitoring once systems are running.

The acquisitions are expected to strengthen CrowdStrike’s position in the growing market for securing AI-powered enterprise operations, where companies are increasingly looking beyond traditional cybersecurity tools to manage the risks associated with autonomous systems.

Cybersecurity company CrowdStrike is making a major investment in artificial intelligence security, agreeing to acquire two AI-focused startups in deals reportedly worth a combined $495 million.
