The announcement adds another major international name to Lagos\u2019 end-of-year concert calendar, which attracts music fans from across Nigeria and the diaspora.<\/p>\n<p>Flytime founder and CEO Cecil Hammond described Brandy as a natural fit for the event, which celebrates R&amp;B and its influence on contemporary music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrandy represents everything Flytime\u2019s House of R&amp;B celebrates, and she is the perfect artist to open our December season,\u201d Hammond said.<\/p>\n<p>Brandy Brings Her R&amp;B Legacy to Lagos<\/p>\n<p>Known to fans as the \u201cVocal Bible,\u201d Brandy built her reputation with her distinctive vocals, layered harmonies and influential approach to contemporary R&amp;B. Her catalogue includes enduring hits such as \u201cThe Boy Is Mine,\u201d \u201cHave You Ever,\u201d \u201cAlmost Doesn\u2019t Count\u201d and \u201cFull Moon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her music helped shape the sound of R&amp;B through the 1990s and early 2000s, influencing generations of singers who followed. Her Lagos appearance will give Nigerian fans an opportunity to experience that catalogue live during one of the city\u2019s busiest entertainment periods.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes during a notable year for the singer. In 2026, Brandy received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Recording Academy\u2019s Black Music Icon Award. She also released her memoir, Phases, which became a New York Times bestseller.<\/p>\n<p>Flytime\u2019s Detty December Lineup<\/p>\n<p>Brandy\u2019s performance will launch a wider programme of concerts and events organised by Flytime Promotions for December 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The current schedule includes Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged on December 21, Flytime Fest Powered by Coca-Cola from December 22 to 24, and the newly announced Flytime Circle concert on December 25. More artist announcements are expected as the festive season approaches.<\/p>\n<p>Flytime, founded in 2004, has become a major player in Nigeria\u2019s live entertainment industry, staging concerts featuring Nigerian stars such as Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and Rema, alongside international acts including Megan Thee Stallion and Boyz II Men. Its annual December events have become a fixture of Lagos\u2019 festive entertainment calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Before arriving in Lagos, Brandy is scheduled to perform in South Africa, with shows in Cape Town on December 14 and Pretoria on December 17 and 18.
