Afro Nation Portugal has unveiled the first wave of artists for its 2027 edition, with Davido, Rema and Congolese music star Fally Ipupa leading the lineup.<\/p>\n
The seventh edition of the festival is scheduled to take place from June 9 to 11, 2027, at Praia da Rocha in Portim\u00e3o, Portugal, with the organisers promising another major celebration of Afrobeats, amapiano and African music and culture.<\/p>\n
Joining the three headliners on the LIT Stage are Nigerian stars Omah Lay and Victony, alongside Odeal, Shenseea, Valiant, Rayvanny, Bamby and Miimii KDS. Franco-Congolese superstar GIMS has also been announced as a special guest.<\/p>\n
The announcement continues the strong presence of Nigerian music at Afro Nation Portugal. Davido and Rema have both previously headlined the festival, while Omah Lay and Victony have also appeared on its stages. Fally Ipupa, meanwhile, returns as one of the festival\u2019s major headliners following previous appearances.<\/p>\n
Amapiano Takes the Piano People Stage<\/p>\n
The festival\u2019s Piano People Stage will once again spotlight amapiano and South African sounds.<\/p>\n
The first announcement includes amapiano pioneer Kabza De Small and duo TxC, with Dlala Thukzin joining as a special guest. The stage will also feature 031Choppa, 2woBunnies, Benzo, Thatohatsi, Uncool MC, W4DE, Xduppy B2B Al Xapo, Young Stunna and Zee Nxumalo.<\/p>\n
The Afrotronic Stage will also return, featuring African electronic music acts including Caiiro, Djeff, Jamiie, Aniko and JNR SA.<\/p>\n
More Artists Expected<\/p>\n
Afro Nation Portugal\u2019s 2027 edition will begin with an opening party on June 8, followed by the main festival from June 9\u201311 and a closing party on June 12.<\/p>\n
More artists are expected to be announced in subsequent lineup releases.<\/p>\n
The festival\u2019s organisers have described Davido, Rema and Fally Ipupa as \u201cthree giants of African music,\u201d setting the tone for an edition that will once again bring together major names from across the continent and its global diaspora.<\/p>\n
Tickets are scheduled to go on presale September 29, with general sales beginning September 30.<\/p>\n
