Nigerian Afrobeats star Fireboy DML is gearing up for the release of his fifth studio album, ZUKO, with the project scheduled to arrive on October 16, 2026.<\/p>\n
The singer has been gradually building anticipation around the album, which follows his 2024 fourth studio album, Adedamola. Fireboy first began teasing the ZUKO era earlier this year, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career.<\/p>\n
ZUKO will reportedly contain 13 tracks, making it Fireboy\u2019s latest full-length body of work following the 14-track Adedamola. His upcoming project also continues a remarkably consistent album run that began with his 2019 debut Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps, followed by Apollo (2020), Playboy (2022), and Adedamola (2024).<\/p>\n
Fireboy has established himself as one of the defining voices of Nigeria\u2019s modern Afrobeats movement, particularly through his ability to blend Afropop, R&B and emotionally driven songwriting. His catalogue includes international records such as \u201cPeru,\u201d \u201cVibration,\u201d \u201cJealous,\u201d \u201cBandana\u201d with Asake and \u201cPlayboy.\u201d<\/p>\n
His previous album, Adedamola, featured collaborations with artists including Seun Kuti, Jon Batiste, Lagbaja, Lojay and Spinall, while production came from a wide range of Nigerian and international producers.<\/p>\n
The upcoming ZUKO project therefore arrives at an important point in Fireboy\u2019s career as he continues to expand his sound and audience beyond Nigeria.<\/p>\n
