Universal Pictures has cast Myles Bullock Be to portray hip-hop icon Dr. Dre in its upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic, Snoop.<\/p>\n
Bullock joins Jonathan Daviss, who was previously announced to play Snoop Dogg in the highly anticipated film. The casting was reported by The Hollywood Reporter on August 20.<\/p>\n
Directed by Craig Brewer, Snoop will chronicle the life and career of Snoop Dogg, born Calvin Broadus Jr., and his rise from Long Beach to becoming one of the most influential figures in hip-hop and entertainment.<\/p>\n
A major focus of the film will be Snoop\u2019s relationship with Dr. Dre. The two first became closely connected through Dre\u2019s work at Death Row Records, with Dre helping introduce Snoop\u2019s distinctive style to a wider audience. Their partnership would eventually lead to Snoop\u2019s landmark debut album, Doggystyle, which Dre produced.<\/p>\n
The movie will explore Snoop\u2019s early years in the West Coast hip-hop scene, his relationship with Dre and his transformation from a young rapper into a global entertainment figure.<\/p>\n
For Bullock Be, the role represents another major step in his growing acting career.
