Kanye West is attempting to reset the narrative after years of controversy, issuing a lengthy public apology addressing antisemitism, mental illness, and the harm caused to both<\/strong> Jewish and Black communities.<\/p>\n

The Rap star shared the statement via a paid ad in The Wall Street Journal revealing that he endured what he described as a four-month manic episode in early 2025 that spiraled into destructive behavior.<\/p>\n

Delving into the reason for his words, Ye said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI fell into a four-month long manic episode of psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behavior that destroyed my life,\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The 48-year-old said his bipolar disorder, which he publicly disclosed in 2016, played a central role in the breakdown:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you go into a manic episode, you are ill at that point\u2026 when you\u2019re not, that\u2019s when the wreckage hits the hardest,\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

West credited his wife, Bianca Censori, for pushing him to finally seek help after hitting what he called \u201crock bottom.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The apology directly addressed his widely condemned antisemitic remarks which fueled backlash across politics, music, and business.<\/div>\n
Stressing that mental illness does not excuse his behavior, he added:<\/div>\n

\u201cI regret and am deeply mortified by my actions\u2026 I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

he wrote, while stressing that mental illness does not excuse his behavior.<\/p>\n

West also apologized to the Black community. He said, acknowledging the global impact of his words:<\/div>\n
