Tameka Foster<\/strong> is clearing the air after revealing she was briefly arrested over what she calls a \u201cpetty\u201d<\/strong> car insurance issue.<\/p>\n

Speaking candidly on her Instagram live, Usher\u2019s<\/strong> ex-wife explained that she was pulled over last summer for a lapse in insurance on her company car, a problem she quickly fixed. What she didn\u2019t realize was that the ticket required an in-person court appearance, she told her followers:<\/p>\n

\u201cI was driving down Peachtree on my way home. And, all of a sudden, I saw an officer just driving behind me. You know, they just driving while black kind of thing. I hadn\u2019t done shit. I wasn\u2019t speeding. I didn\u2019t make an illegal turn or nothing. So, I got pulled over. It was just like license registration. No problem. Gave him all the stuff. Then, he said, well, do you know? It shows that your insurance is not current. I said, well, I didn\u2019t know that. But, no problem. I can fix it. You know, whatever. I\u2019ll fix it tomorrow. When they open. Did that. But, what I didn\u2019t know is that when you get a ticket for not having insurance, you have to actually go in person to court to tell the judge that you got insurance.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

After failing to show up, a warrant was issued, leading to a dramatic arrest when officers boarded her plane after a trip. Foster says:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey came to my actual aircraft, paged my name on the loudspeaker\u2026 So, my heart stopped like, oh, my God, what are they going to say? I definitely didn\u2019t think they were going to say. I, Tamika Foster Raymond, had a warrant for failing to appear.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

She was also subjected to what she described as unnecessary hostility from staff despite her fine being paid.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the experience, she urged her followers to:<\/p>\n

\u201chandle your business, stay on point, make sure all your i\u2019s a dotted and t\u2019s are crossed.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
