Iconic childrenโ€™s entertainment group The Wiggles have announced a landmark global agreement with Universal Music Group, ending their 35-year relationship with ABC Music and kicking off an ambitious new phase in their long and beloved career. Formed in 1991, The Wiggles have become one of the most successful and recognisable names in childrenโ€™s music worldwide, with a catalogue that includes hits like โ€œHot Potatoโ€ and โ€œFruit Salad,โ€ and billions of streams across platforms a legacy that made them an ideal partner for a major global label.ย

Under the new deal, Universal Music Australia will lead global distribution and promotion, while in the United States their music will be represented by Republic Records: Kids & Family, bringing The Wigglesโ€™ content to more families around the world through enhanced streaming, digital marketing and integrated campaigns. The partnership is designed not only to preserve the groupโ€™s classic appeal but also to expand its reach with new recordings and digital content that parents and children can enjoy together.ย

Original members like Blue Wiggle Anthony Field and Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie expressed excitement about the move, describing Universal as a partner with the scale and vision to grow The Wigglesโ€™ global footprint while honouring the joyful, educational spirit that has defined their work for decades.ย

The timing also aligns with the groupโ€™s Tree of Wisdom Spectacular World Tour, which is scheduled to take them across the UK, U.S. and Canada in 2026. The new music deal promises that this next chapter will blend nostalgia with new opportunities, bringing beloved childrenโ€™s classics and fresh releases to a broader audience than ever before.ย
