Rihanna celebrating the 10-year anniversary of โAntiโ in late January came as a bittersweet reminder for her dedicated fans (affectionately called #TheNavy) that the Pop diva has not released a new album in a decade.
Despite her minimal activity on the music scene since 2016, the Barbadian beauty remains the leader of the digital music era among women, a status underscored by a slew of recent updates trumpeted by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Taking to press on Wednesday (January 28), the 10th anniversary date of the release of โAnti,โ the RIAA took to press to announce certification upgrades to 9 Rihanna songs from the era.
The standout of the crew was โLove on the Brainโ which now sits at Diamond status a measure that denotes sale equivalence of 10 million in the United States.
Her seventh song certified as high, the addition makes her the owner of the most Diamond-certified singles in the 73-year history of the RIAA surpassing the previous titleholder Katy Perry. Among all acts, only Drake (10) and Post Malone(8) can boast more.
Together, the upgrades increase Rihannaโs cumulative single sales to 199 million in the U.S. extending her reign as the best-selling female artist in RIAA history for singles.
