Legendary Oscar-winning actor Robert Duvall has died at the age of 95, his wife Luciana Pedraza Duvall announced, marking the end of one of the most enduring and respected careers in Hollywood history. Duvall passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by love and comfort, according to the statement shared on social media by his wife, who described him as “my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time.” 

Duvall’s career spanned more than six decades and nearly 100 film and television roles, earning him admiration for his depth, versatility and commitment to his craft. He was nominated for seven Academy Awards and won the Best Actor Oscar for his performance in Tender Mercies (1983). Kilgore in Apocalypse Now delivered one of film history’s most quoted lines.
