Legendary producer and entrepreneur Dr. Dre has officially reached billionaire status, cementing his place among the wealthiest figures in the global music industry.

The music producer-turned-mogul has officially reached billionaire status, according to Forbes.

The publication released its 2026 list of billionaires, and it looks like Dre has finally and officially made the cut after once declaring himself the first billionaire in hip-hop.

This billionaire status didnโ€™t come without major business moves.Dre sold Beats by Dre to Apple Inc. for $3 billion, a deal that eventually led to the creation of Apple Music. But thatโ€™s only part of the empire.

The California native also has major stakes and partnerships through Aftermath Entertainment, which holds artists like Eminem and Kendrick Lamar.

Over the years, his business portfolio has included involvement with Death Row Records, a major music catalog sale in 2023, and investments in the spirits industry, including the Gin & Juice brandwith his brother Snoop Dogg.
