Bad bunny is in legal crosshairs yet again, this time with a $16 million lawsuit from a woman who says her voice was used on two of his biggest songs without her consent.

According to the complaint filed in Puerto Rico, Tainaly Y. Serrano Rivera claims her spoken line appears on both ‘Solo de Mi’ from the star’s 2018 debut ‘X 100pre’and ‘EoO’ from his chart-topping 2025 album ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos.’

The allegedly sampled phrase “Mira, puñeta, no me quiten el perreo,”roughly meaning “don’t take away my vibe,” was reportedly recorded back in 2018 at the request of Bunny’s producer, La Paciencia, when they were college classmates. According to Billboard, the lawsuit says that:

“At the time of the request, the purpose of the audio was not explained, nor was the plaintiff informed that her identity would be used and commercially exploited.”

Serrano is now seeking damages under Puerto Rico’s right of publicity laws from the superstar, his producer, and his label. Reps for Bunny and his label haven’t yet commented at the time of writing.

The drama comes ahead of Benito taking to the Super Bowl Halftime Show stage on February 8.
