Nigerian Afrofusion star Burna Boy is set to headline Rolling Loud India 2026, joining American record producer Metro Boomin for the opening day of the two-day hip-hop festival scheduled for December 12 and 13 in Mumbai, India.
The announcement, made on October 19, marks another international milestone for the Grammy-winning singer, who is set to make his debut performance in India. Burna Boy and Metro Boomin will lead the festivalโs first day on December 12, while British rapper Skepta and Punjabi music star Karan Aujla will headline the second day.
The festivalโs 2026 edition will bring together international hip-hop names and artists from Indiaโs expanding rap scene. The venue has yet to be announced, but tickets are already available through District, the eventโs ticketing partner.
Burna Boy Prepares for His India Debut
Burna Boyโs appearance at Rolling Loud India will introduce his live performance to a new audience in a country with a growing appetite for global music and hip-hop culture.
The singer, known for blending Afrobeats with dancehall, reggae, hip-hop and other influences, has built an international career through albums such as African Giant, Twice as Tall, Love, Damini and No Sign of Weakness.
His India debut also carries an existing connection to the countryโs music scene. Burna Boy previously collaborated with the late Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, linking two artists whose sounds reached audiences far beyond their home markets.
The Rolling Loud booking adds to Burna Boyโs growing list of major international appearances in 2026. He is also scheduled to headline the halftime show at the NFLโs first regular-season game in Paris on October 25, further extending his presence across global entertainment stages.
Metro Boomin, Skepta and Karan Aujla Join the Lineup
Metro Boomin will share the opening dayโs headline billing with Burna Boy. The producer is known for his work with major hip-hop acts including Future, 21 Savage, Travis Scott and The Weeknd.
Other artists scheduled for December 12 include Big Sean, GoldLink and Dhanda Nyoliwala, alongside performers representing different corners of Indiaโs music scene.
On December 13, Skepta will headline alongside Karan Aujla, who returns after leading the inaugural Indian edition in 2025. The second-day lineup also includes ScHoolboy Q and Indian hip-hop duo Seedhe Maut.
The festival is designed to bring international names together with artists from Indiaโs regional rap communities, reflecting Rolling Loudโs wider approach to expanding its global footprint while connecting local scenes with international audiences.
Rolling Loud Returns to India
The 2026 festival marks Rolling Loudโs second edition in India, following its inaugural event in November 2025. The first edition featured performers including Wiz Khalifa, Central Cee, Don Toliver and Swae Lee, alongside Karan Aujla.
Burna Boyโs addition to this yearโs lineup highlights the growing presence of African artists at international festivals and the continued crossover between Afrobeats and global hip-hop.
With the Nigerian star and Metro Boomin leading the opening day, followed by Skepta and Karan Aujla on the second, Rolling Loud India 2026 is shaping up to be a major meeting point for international and Indian music cultures.
The festival takes place on December 12 and 13 in Mumbai. Further details about the venue and performance schedule are expected to be announced by the organisers.
