South African superstar Tyla has expanded the South African leg of her APOP World Tour*, moving her Gauteng concert to Pretoriaโs SunBet Arena and adding a second show following strong demand from fans.
The singer will now perform at SunBet Arena on Friday, January 8, and Saturday, January 9, 2027, giving fans in Gauteng two opportunities to see her perform live. The January 9 concert was originally scheduled for the Nasrec Outdoor Area in Johannesburg.
The venue change was made partly because of concerns about potential Highveld thunderstorms, while promoters Showtime Management and Anything Goes also cited audience-experience considerations and requests for a venue with seated options.
The additional January 8 date was announced in response to popular demand, allowing more fans to attend Tylaโs homecoming shows.
Fans who had already purchased tickets for the original January 9 show do not need to purchase new tickets. Their tickets have been transferred to the new venue in the same ticket category, with ticketing now handled through Ticketmaster South Africa.
Tyla previously performed a sold-out concert at SunBet Arena in 2025. Her return will come with new material from her second studio album, APOP*, which has continued her international run following the success of her self-titled debut album.
The South African dates form part of Tylaโs first full headline world tour. The homecoming will begin with a January 4, 2027 performance at Green Point Track in Cape Town before the two Pretoria dates.
With the Gauteng leg now expanded to two nights, Tyla will perform three concerts in South Africa during the APOP World Tour.
Tickets for the Pretoria shows are available exclusively through Ticketmaster South Africa, with prices starting at R895, excluding service fees.
