Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy is set to perform live at the newly opened Apple Music Hall in London, marking another major milestone in his international career.
Located at Battersea Power Station, the brand-new 600-capacity venue was officially unveiled by Apple Music this week as an intimate live-music space designed to bring artists and fans closer together while combining live performance with advanced recording and broadcast technology.
Burna Boy has been announced as part of the venue’s inaugural run of performances, joining a lineup that includes Elton John, Baby Keem, Skye Newman, Troye Sivan, Arlo Parks, Chase & Status and Charli xcx. Elton John is scheduled to open the venue on September 28, with the remaining performances following as part of the opening programme.
The performance will add another historic moment to Burna Boy’s growing relationship with major international music venues. The Nigerian star has already made history at London Stadium, where he became the first African artist to headline the venue and is set to return for a third headline show in 2027.
Inside Apple Music Hall
Apple Music Hall has been designed as more than a traditional concert venue. The 600-capacity space features a 38-foot-wide stage, a 48-speaker Spatial Audio system and production facilities capable of recording performances in multitrack audio and mixing them in Spatial Audio.
The venue also has dedicated recording and mix studios, alongside a broadcast control room equipped to support multicamera productions. Apple says artists can leave a performance with a finished Spatial Audio recording, broadcast-ready mix and multicamera video captured from the same show.
Performances from the venue will also be available for global audiences through livestreams, allowing fans outside London to experience the intimate shows.
For Burna Boy, the booking represents another significant moment in the global expansion of Afrobeats. His appearance at Apple Music Hall places him among the first artists selected to perform at Apple’s new London music space.
With the venue’s inaugural programme bringing together major names from different parts of the music industry, Burna Boy’s performance further underlines his position as one of the African artists commanding major international stages.
