Quavo and Offset are bringing Migos back for one final chapter.
Quavo has confirmed that he and Offset will reunite as Migos for a new album and a tour, marking the first major project from the Atlanta rap group since the death of Takeoff in 2022.
Quavo revealed the plans during a recent interview with Atlanta radio station V-103, telling DJ Greg Street that the two rappers intend to give Migos one more run. “We coming back. We’re going to do it one more time,” Quavo said, adding that they plan to tour and “do it right.”
Migos Is Coming Back
The reunion comes after years of tension between Quavo and Offset, which eventually saw the two members pursue separate careers.
Before Takeoff’s death, Quavo and Takeoff had released their joint album Only Built for Infinity Links in 2022, while Offset went on to release his solo album SET IT OFF in 2023.
The three members’ last Migos album was Culture III, released in June 2021. The project debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and remains the group’s final album released during Takeoff’s lifetime.
Honoring Takeoff
Although the upcoming project will be led by Quavo and Offset, Takeoff’s presence is expected to remain an important part of the final Migos chapter.
Quavo has previously spoken about wanting to preserve Takeoff’s unreleased music and ensure his legacy continues. In recent comments, he indicated that the new project could include posthumous Takeoff vocals, although the exact material that will appear has not yet been confirmed.
The possibility of including Takeoff’s unreleased recordings would give the project an additional emotional significance for fans who followed the group from its early mixtape days through its mainstream breakthrough.
Quavo and Offset Have Been Back in the Studio
The reunion announcement does not come completely out of nowhere.
Earlier this year, Quavo and Offset were spotted working together in the studio, while social-media posts from both artists fueled speculation that a Migos comeback was being planned.
Quavo also previously teased a Takeoff project, another Unc & Phew release with Takeoff and a final Migos album. Offset subsequently shared a photo of the trio with the caption “On dat,” further increasing anticipation surrounding a possible reunion.
The pair also publicly reunited at the 2023 BET Awards, where they performed “Hotel Lobby” and “Bad & Boujee” in tribute to Takeoff.
A Final Tour Is Also Planned
The comeback will reportedly extend beyond the studio.
Quavo confirmed that he and Offset intend to tour as Migos following the album, although no tour dates, cities or venues have been announced yet.
The tour would give fans an opportunity to see the two surviving members revisit the group’s catalogue, including hits such as “Bad and Boujee,” “T-Shirt,” “Stir Fry,” “MotorSport” and “Walk It Talk It.”
For a group whose music helped define Atlanta’s trap-influenced sound during the 2010s, a final tour could become one of hip-hop’s most anticipated live events.
No Release Date Yet
While Quavo has confirmed that the album and tour are in the works, there is currently no official release date or title for the final Migos album.
The project is expected to come after the individual commitments of the two rappers, with Quavo also preparing to release his Pharrell Williams-executive-produced solo album Qrömelife on October 2.
For now, fans will have to wait for more details on when the final Migos album will arrive and when the reunion tour will begin.
After years apart, however, one thing is now clear: Quavo and Offset are bringing Migos back for one last time.
