Beyoncé is once again using her platform to support communities facing disaster, with her BeyGOOD Foundation donating $200,000 toward flood relief efforts in Indiana.

The foundation announced the contribution on August 31, saying the money will be distributed to City Life Center and Angel by Nature, two organizations working directly with communities affected by the severe flooding.

Funds to Support Families in Hard-Hit Communities

According to BeyGOOD, the donation will provide immediate assistance to some of the areas hit hardest by the disaster, including Gary, Indiana.

The funds will be used to help provide food, household supplies and other essential resources to individuals and families whose lives have been disrupted by the flooding.

The contribution comes as communities across Indiana continue to deal with the aftermath of a powerful weather system that brought severe storms, heavy rainfall and flooding.

More Than 1,000 People Left Without Homes

The flooding caused widespread destruction across the state, damaging homes and infrastructure and leaving more than 1,000 people unhoused, according to BeyGOOD.

The storm system that struck Indiana on August 11 included extremely strong winds, heavy rain and flash flooding. Some areas experienced prolonged power outages as crews worked to restore essential services.

State officials have also reported multiple storm-related deaths as communities continue their recovery efforts.

For residents who lost homes, belongings or access to basic necessities, assistance from local organizations has become an important part of the recovery process.

City Life Center and Angel by Nature to Distribute Aid

BeyGOOD selected organizations already working on the ground rather than creating a separate relief operation.

City Life Center and Angel by Nature will use the funding to reach people in affected communities, particularly those facing immediate shortages of food, household items and other necessities.

The approach reflects BeyGOOD’s broader model of supporting grassroots organizations that can respond directly to communities during emergencies.

Another Major Disaster-Relief Effort From Beyoncé

The Indiana donation is the latest in a series of major relief initiatives associated with Beyoncé and BeyGOOD.

The foundation has previously supported communities affected by natural disasters, including its $2.5 million commitment to help families and community organizations affected by the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires.

Beyoncé also recently announced a separate $1 million personal donation toward earthquake relief efforts in Colombia, adding to her recent philanthropic activity.

BeyGOOD Continues Its Community-Focused Work

Founded by Beyoncé, BeyGOOD has developed into a major philanthropic organization supporting initiatives involving disaster relief, education, housing, entrepreneurship and community development.

The foundation’s Indiana contribution highlights another side of Beyoncé’s influence beyond music, with her global profile helping draw attention to communities experiencing hardship.

As Indiana continues its recovery, the $200,000 donation is expected to provide practical support to families still dealing with the consequences of the floods.

For Beyoncé and BeyGOOD, the latest contribution reinforces a long-running commitment to using resources and partnerships to provide assistance when communities need it most.
