Jennifer Lopez has reached a major streaming milestone as her iconic 2011 hit “On the Floor” featuring Pitbull has officially surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify.

The achievement makes the dance-pop anthem the first Jennifer Lopez song to enter Spotify’s Billions Club, more than 15 years after its original release.

Released in 2011 as the lead single from Lopez’s seventh studio album, Love?, “On the Floor” became an international phenomenon. The RedOne-produced track, which incorporates elements of the Latin dance classic “Llorando se fue,” topped charts in numerous countries and became one of the defining dance records of its era.

The song’s longevity has been particularly impressive. Released before streaming became the dominant force in music consumption, “On the Floor” has continued to attract millions of listeners years after its initial commercial run.

To celebrate the achievement, Spotify presented Lopez with an official Billions Club plaque, commemorating the song’s entry into the platform’s exclusive billion-stream club.

Lopez celebrated the milestone on social media, thanking fans for continuing to dance to the song. She jokingly wrote: “It’s a new Jeneration of party people… in the Billions Club. Thank you for dancing with me!”

The milestone also highlights the enduring popularity of Lopez’s collaboration with Pitbull, whose energetic contribution helped turn “On the Floor” into a global party anthem.

Beyond Spotify, the song’s official music video has also amassed more than 2 billion views on YouTube, further demonstrating its remarkable longevity in the digital era.

For Lopez, the achievement adds another major streaming milestone to a career that has successfully crossed music, film, television and entertainment.

More than a decade after “On the Floor” first dominated dancefloors around the world, the song is proving that its appeal has not faded.
