Sean โ€œDiddyโ€ Combs is facing another major legal battle after a federal court moved forward with a civil lawsuit accusing the music mogul of dangling a woman over a 17th-floor balcony during an alleged 2016 incident in Los Angeles. A jury trial is currently being scheduled for May 2027. ย

The lawsuit was filed by creative director Bryana Bongolan, a close friend of singer Cassie. Bongolan alleges that Combs held her over the edge of a balcony at Cassieโ€™s apartment for several seconds before throwing her back onto the patio. She claims the incident left her with bruises, neck and back injuries, and lasting emotional trauma. ย

According to court filings, Combs, along with Bad Boy Entertainment and his corporate entity CeOpco LLC, are named as defendants in the case. The lawsuit seeks damages related to the alleged assault and its long-term effects. ย

The allegations gained renewed attention after Bongolan testified in connection with Combsโ€™ criminal proceedings, where she described ongoing trauma and recurring nightmares stemming from the alleged incident. Defense attorneys have strongly denied the claims and challenged her account of events. ย

The civil trial adds to a growing list of legal challenges facing the Bad Boy Records founder. Although separate from his criminal matters, the case is expected to attract significant public attention due to the severity of the allegations and the high-profile figures involved. ย

Neither Combs nor his legal team have publicly commented on the latest court scheduling decision. The case is expected to move through pretrial proceedings before heading to a jury trial in 2027. ย
