Sony Music Publishing UK has signed acclaimed songwriter, producer, and artist MNEK to a new global publishing agreement, adding one of British music’s most influential hitmakers to its roster. The deal covers MNEK’s future songwriting works and marks a new chapter in a career that has helped shape modern pop music over the past decade and a half.  

Born Uzoechi Emenike, MNEK has built an extensive catalog spanning multiple genres, earning songwriting and production credits alongside some of the biggest names in music, including Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Stormzy, Little Mix, BTS, and Zara Larsson. His work has made him one of the most sought-after creatives in contemporary pop.  

The Grammy- and BRIT-nominated musician has also enjoyed success as a recording artist. His collaboration with Joel Corry on the song Head & Heart became a UK No. 1 hit and has accumulated more than a billion Spotify streams, while his collaboration with Zara Larsson on Never Forget You remains one of the biggest pop records of the streaming era.  

Speaking about the agreement, MNEK said he was excited to join the Sony Music Publishing family and praised the company’s teams in London and Los Angeles for their commitment to supporting the next phase of his career as a singer, songwriter, and producer.  

Sony Music Publishing executives described MNEK as a “generational talent” whose influence on UK pop music is undeniable, highlighting both his songwriting achievements and his continued evolution as an artist.  

The announcement comes as MNEK prepares for a new creative era, with plans to release his sophomore album, his first full-length project since 2018’s Language later this year.
