Music icon Pharrell Williams is set to receive the Global Songwriter Award at the 30th anniversary ceremony of the MOBO Awards.
The prestigious honor recognizes Pharrell’s extraordinary influence as a songwriter and producer whose work has shaped modern music across multiple genres, including hip-hop, R&B, pop, and funk. Over the years, he has created global hits for artists such as Jay-Z, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Daft Punk.
Pharrell first rose to prominence as one half of the production duo The Neptunes, before achieving further success with the band N.E.R.D. and launching a hugely successful solo career.
Organizers say the award will celebrate Pharrell’s decades-long contribution to the music industry and his ability to craft timeless records that resonate across generations and cultures.
The milestone ceremony marks 30 years of the MOBO Awards, which continues to spotlight excellence in music of Black origin and honor artists who have made lasting global impact.
